Can ALPOL ELITE sanitary silicone joints be painted?

It is not recommended to do so. Surfaces made with the silicone are smooth and flexible which negatively affects the adhesion of paint and durability of such finish. Furthermore, paint may act adversely on biocidal properties of the silicone, creating conditions for rapid biocorrosion.
