Definitely. Gypsum plaster surfaces intended to be covered with ceramic tiles need to be rough-finished with a sponge without trowelling. Before a cladding is applied, the surface should be primed with ALPOL AG 703 capping primer for absorbing substrates. Ceramic tiles are to be affixed with adhesives, the type of which depends on the type and area of cladding, as well as on the pace of works being carried out:
- for ceramic and terracotta tiles: AK 509, AK 510 or AK 513,
- for porcelain tiles: AK 511, AK 512 or AK 515,
- for stone and mosaic tiles: AK 514,
- for clinker: AK 518.
