FAQ

The acceptance of finished plaster takes place once the compliance with the contract is assured, with the detailed requirements being specified in the building design, technical specifications of performance and acceptance of works, as well as in the as-built documentation which contains reconciled changes that have been made during plastering. The acceptance is based on requirements set forth in the PN-B-010110 national standard. The plaster is inspected for its structure, colour, adhesion and possible deviations of its planes and edges. Apart from checking the verticality, angles and planes, it is necessary to evaluate the quality and consistency of the finished surface. To check the quality, rub the finished wall surface in circles with your hand on the largest possible area. If no waviness of surface is detected, the plaster has been applied properly. The structure of plaster on the entire area must by the same. Alternating areas of smoothness and roughness noticed under your palm are also noticeable after painting. Such plaster finish must then be regarded as poorly made. If the plaster is to be covered with a finish coat or textured wallpaper, the irregularity is less problematic. If gypsum plaster is to be covered with a cladding, the plaster is rough-finished without trowelling.
