Newly built structure
The structural slab should, first of all, be cleaned of loose non-adhesive material. Possible irregularities and damages can be patched with ALPOL AZ 130 quick-setting mortar. The surface must be even, dry, clean, free from dirt and dust.
Repaired structure
The surface should be free from dust, dirt, bleeding water, grease, paint, bitumen etc. Remove old, loose and peeling material of poor adhesion. The surface must be surveyed before starting the repair work. Depending on the survey findings, it may require:
- replacing (remove and make a new one)
-
strengthening (use ALPOL AG 700 deep penetrating primer)
-
surface repairs (depending on the area and type of treatment required, use ALPOL AZ 130 quick-setting mortar to patch small damages, and ALPOL AZ 135 levelling mortar for larger spots or use one of ALPOL plaster mortars)
-
levelling (ALPOL AP 410, ALPOL AP 420 or ALPOL AP 421 self-levelling floor is recommended for large areas, or ALPOL AZ 135 for smaller areas)
