AG S24

Substrate type
Joint surface between gypsum board filled with flexible gypsum putty. Gypsum, cement, cement-lime, lime plasters, gypsum putty, gypsum boards, concrete walls and ceilings.

Substrate preparation
Joint surface should be ground and free from dust as well as treated with ALPOL AG 704 primer for absorbing substrates. Substrate should be seasoned, clean, dry, stable and sound. Remove remains of paint and other contamination. Widen scratches and cracks and then patch all chipped areas with ALPOL AG S19 or ALPOL AG S20 gypsum putty. Significantly chipped areas should be patched with ALPOL AZ 130 quick setting mortar or ALPOL AZ 135 levelling mortar. Treat the loose substrate with ALPOL AG 700 deep penetrating primer and ALPOL AG 704 primer for absorbing substrates to additionally reduce absorption, if necessary. Protect all steel components (frames, conduits, barriers etc.) from direct contact with gypsum, due to its corrosive action.

Instructions for use
Stir the bag contents manually or mechanically with specified amount of clean and cold water to bring the mixture to homogenous and required consistency. Always pour dry mix into the water. Allow 5 minutes and stir the prepared mix again. Spread the finish coat with a stainless steel float to form a layer between 1 and 2 mm thick, until smooth and regular finish is achieved. Thanks to high quality of the product, another coat may be applied on wet and slightly mat surface in 30 minutes from applying the first one. Before the second coat of the product is applied next day, prime the surface with the ALPOL AG 704 primer for absorbing surfaces. After drying, sand all irregularities with sand paper or mesh, not allowing to sand the topmost coat. Use prepared mix within 1 hour from mixing with water. Unused hardening gypsum putty cannot be mixed with water again. Throw it away.

Tools
Low-speed electric mixer, hydrodynamic unit, basket mixer, container for putty, stainless steel float, putty knife, trowel, drywall hand sander with mesh or sandpaper.

Working conditions
Work in ambient temperatures between +5°C and +30°C. Do not add any other agents. Use clean containers and tools for each mixing. Protect freshly applied gypsum from moisture.

Storage
Store in original, unopened packages in dry place – shelf life 9 months from production date. Protect from moisture during transport and storage.

Notes
The specifications and instructions for use are given for the temperature of (20±2)°C and relative air humidity of (65±5)%. The workability may alter in different conditions. Appropriate eye, respiratory system and skin protection measures should be used. Becomes alkaline after mixing with water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Keep away from children. Clean fresh stains with water. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for damage caused by unskilful or inappropriate use of the product.
