AH 751

Substrate type
Cement and lime-cement plasters, gypsum boards, walls made of concrete, silicate bricks, gypsum blocks and cellular concrete with narrow joint, properly seasoned concrete, cement and anhydrite floors.

Substrate preparation
The substrate must be sound, free from dirt and substances which may impair adhesion. New plaster work and concrete should be set and seasoned. Old, loose, brittle and peeling material of poor adhesion should be removed. Any chipped areas should be patched with ALPOL AZ 130 quick setting mortar or ALPOL AZ 135 levelling mortar. Strengthen loose and porous substrates with ALPOL AG 700 deep-penetrating primer. At least 3 hours prior to membrane application, treat the substrate with ALPOL AG 707 silicate-polymer primer. Cover expansion gaps with ALPOL sealing tape embedded in the membrane. Room corners, at the contact points between walls and walls and floor, which are particularly exposed to stress, should be strengthened with tapes and ALPOL corner beads with their edges embedded in ALPOL AH 751 membrane. Floor drains and pipe culverts should be sealed with appropriate ALPOL sealing sleeves with their edges embedded in ALPOL AH 751 membrane.

Instructions for use
ALPOL AH 751 is a ready-to-use single component semi-liquid sealing compound, which has to be stirred throughout before use. Apply at least two coats of the compound. Apply the first coat with a brush or a masonry brush, trying to rub the compound into the substrate. Apply the next coat after the first one has dried out, i.e. after around 3 hours. Each coat should dry all over its entire area. Other coats can be applied the same way or using a steel float, spreading the compound perpendicularly to the previous coat. Total thickness of wet coat should be around 2 mm, and no less than 1 mm after it dries out. Ceramic cladding can be bonded directly to dry waterproofing coat. ALPOL AK 516 quick-setting liquefied thin-layer, ALPOL AK 517 quick-setting liquefied medium-layer, ALPOL AK 512 porcelain tile quick-setting or ALPOL AK 513 flexible tile adhesives are recommended for floors. ALPOL AK 511, ALPOL AK 514 or ALPOL AK 515 adhesives, depending on cladding type, can be used as well.

Tools
Mixer or low-speed electric drill, basket mixer, stainless steel float, trowel, putty knife, wall paintbrush, masonry brush.

Working conditions
Work in ambient temperatures between +5°C and +30°C. Do not add any other agents to the compound. Protect freshly applied compound from excessive drying and moisture.

Storage
In original, not damaged, tightly closed containers in temperature between +5°C and +30°C – shelf life 12 months from production date. Protect the product from freezing.

Notes
The specifications and instructions for use are given for the temperature of (23±2)°C and relative air humidity of (50±5)%. The drying time may alter in different conditions. Wear safety goggles. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Protect your skin. Use protective clothing and gloves. Keep away from children. Use water for cleaning tools. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for damage caused by unskilful or inappropriate use of the product.
